New Disposables Law in effect in Unincorporated LA County
Share
As of May 1st, 2023, a new law has gone into effect in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County that prohibits the use of single-use plastic food containers, cups, utensils, and straws. This new law is a significant step towards reducing the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our landfills and oceans.
The law requires that food vendors provide customers with reusable or compostable alternatives to single-use plastic items. This means that restaurants, food trucks, and other food vendors in unincorporated areas of LA County will need to switch to more sustainable options, such as reusable utensils, cups, and containers, or biodegradable and compostable alternatives.
Here at KGPeco, we are proud to say that our bamboo fiber straws and cutlery surpass these new requirements. Our products are made from sustainable and renewable bamboo, which is a fast-growing, eco-friendly material that is perfect for making durable and reusable straws and cutlery. Our bamboo fiber straws and cutlery are dishwasher safe, and they are suitable for both hot and cold beverages and foods.
We believe that this new law is an important step towards reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability, and we are excited to be part of the solution. At KGPeco, we are committed to creating products that are not only environmentally friendly but also stylish and practical.
We encourage everyone to do their part in reducing plastic waste by choosing sustainable alternatives like our bamboo fiber straws and cutlery. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for our planet.
